As you might have understood by the title I’m coming to Europe for the whole of October (almost)! I will first land in Berlin on October 4^th where I’ll spend the night and hopefully get to have a nice brunch with nice people the next day. Then I’ll use the great and practical Mitfahrgelegenheit to go to Frankfurt (well actually Eschborn) where GTZ headquarters are located. I’ll stay there two days for a seminar and two nights probably using the social and friendly network Couchsurfing (alone in a hotel room: too depressing), and then head to Lyon where I’ll spend 6 days. Then again to Frankfurt, then on the 18^th and 19^th in Berlin for party, hot chocolate, Kuchen, brunches. Then again in Frankfurt. Finally taking the train from Frankfurt to Paris to visit my Dad. And end of the trip on October 27^th, flying back to Phnom Penh. Busy schedule!

Back on the other side…how does it feel? Not bad, even good. Keeping images, voices, smiles, vibrations deep inside myself. Keeping that philosophy that makes the World so much more beautiful and powerful. Keeping the simplicity and authenticity that makes life so much easier and complete. Never want to forget them or simply let them go…

One afternoon in Berlin…walking around. 

Ca y est !!! Je suis de retour dans la ville de mon cœur après 10 mois passés à vadrouiller de part et d’autre de l’hémisphère sud ! Hier matin, lever avant le soleil à 4h30 du matin, direction Orly. Après quelques manipulations malhonnêtes pour contourner les régulations d’Easyjet concernant le poids et le nombre de bagages minimums, j’arrive à monter dans l’avion avec mes 4 bagages pesant non moins de 50 kg en tout ! 

Arrivée à Berlin Schönefeld, Hanna, staff adorable de la Hertie School m’attend avec un petit panneau ‘Welcome Emilia’. On prend un taxi en direction de Prenzlauer Berg, plus exactement dans la Danziger Strasse, où m’attend mon coloc provisoire d’un mois, Florian. L’immeuble ne paye pas de mine, il s’agit d’un très vieil immeuble délabré datant de l’ère soviétique. Mais l’appart, retapé par Florian il y a 8 ans, est super : propre, douillet, clair, chaleureux, et cerise sur le gâteau, avec vue sur la Fernsehturm. Ma chambre est très spacieuse, le lit confortable, la vue agréable. 

A peine arrivée, je jette mes affaires dans la chambre et me dirige vers Kreuzberg pour récupérer mon vélo. Arrivée à mon ancien appart, je prends le pti dej avec Carole, mon ancienne coloc colombienne, elle me raconte sa vie des 12 derniers mois et j’en fais de même. Ca me fait tout drôle d’être de retour mais comme ça fait du biiieeennnnn !!!!!!!!! 

Je n’ai pas pu récupérer mon vélo mais j’utilise celui de Csilla, mon ancienne coloc hongroise jusqu’à ce qu’elle rentre et me rende le mien qui est quelque part dans Kreuzberg. Ensuite, c’est à vélo à faire le tour de mes quartiers préférés que j’ai passé le reste de la journée. 

Le soir, j’allais faire la connaissance de quelques uns de mes futurs co-étudiants autour d’un verre à Eberswalder Strasse. Notre promo ne compte pas moins de 35 nationalités, sur un total de 62 étudiants !!! Tous sont ouverts, la plupart ont l’air sympas et intéressants, certains autres semblent manquer de simplicité, mais dans l’ensemble, plutôt bonne impression. 

Aujourd’hui je me lance dans la recherche de ma future WG (colocation)…souhaitez-moi bien du courage !!
