When I entered the projection room I was expecting powerful images of our World but was prepared to listen to the recurrent environmentalist discourse reminiscent of Al Gore's. But Yann Arthus-Bertrand managed to give a new tone to his movie, putting aside the provocative and sensationalist tendency. Home proved to be very informative. I learned new facts, was transported by the music, and moved by the images.

Je n'ai pas encore vu ce film, mais si tu me dis qu'il vaut le coup, je vais peut-être le regarder ! En tout cas je suis sûr que les images sont magnifiques !

Thanks. I really enjoyed the images. Really nice. Al Gore wove his personal story into his presentation. This elicits more ooohs and aahs from me. Merci encore. Je t'embrasse.

Noo really??
Home is a the most sentimentalist movie I've never seen, it's just to make cry the good citizens!
It is not scientific at all, it's just some good sentences that you can not disapprove. It's the populism in the perfect way!
This movie made me sick, all the oil used to do this movie for the helicopters, planes and 4*4 is responsible for at least half of the cilmate change this year.
bUT IT'S NOT THE WORST, this crap is sponsored by Pinault Printemps La redoute, a multinational which use and exploit the poors countries to make more profits, and doesn't give a shit about these local population and the pollution in thses countries!
They did this movie just to give them a good conscience and make a global advertising in all the world for a cheap price!

The morale in this film is: citizens, you have to change but multinationals you can continue to pollute this world but you have to give money to make movies for the stupid citizens!!

thanks Boris for your insights. I guess I can't say anything against your statement. The movie is not scientific and is full of sentences which you cannot disprove of. But I tend to more and more favor the ends over anything else. If the movie achieves greater awareness among the citizens and contributes to initiating change in people's consumption, then maybe this is not such a bad thing Arthus-Bertrand made this movie.

And if I remember well, the film put a special emphasis on the role of the private sector and governments to reverse the trend, more than on the individual responsibilities of citizens. The fact that the movie tackled the issue on a multitude of perspectives avoided a sterile blame game.

Actually I don't see the fact that big corporations (so by definition unethical) are funding the movie as bad per se. Change takes time, and however naive I may sound, I like to think that this is a small beginning.

J'espère que ce film aura un impact sur nos modes de consommation mais aussi sur notre manière de voyager.
Un grand bravo pour ce site tout en couleur!
