What a week!!!!! I started at the Hertie School of Governance on Monday for the orientation week and I just come from the inauguration of the class of 2009. I met so interesting people over the past few days. The other students come from all over the place and from many different backgrounds. It seems like a good start!
In the meantime I carried on with my ‘WG Suche’ (room hunt) and found something that seems pretty cool, in Prenzlauer Berg (formerly East Berlin), a very nice place to live, centrally located, 10 mins away from the school either by bike or by U-Bahn. My new flatmates seem nice, friendly, and easy going. I’ll be living with two Germans, one guy named Sebastian, who I actually met, and another girl, whose name I can’t remember because she’s now…in Tanzania! She’s been living there for a year, so that’s already something we have in common! The room is not that big but fully furnished with a ‘hochbett’ (high bed). I decided to go for it and will be moving in in around 3 weeks. So I have 3 more weeks to go with my current flatmate whom I really get along with!
